Privacy Policy - Suraksha Alert

This Privacy Policy explains how the Suraksha Alert app ("the App"), developed by Haris Digital Solutions, West Bengal, India, handles your information.
1. Summary
Suraksha Alert is an offline emergency SOS app. We do NOT run any server. We do NOT collect, sell or share your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your own phone.
2. Information stored on your phone only
- Your name (for the greeting)
- Emergency contact names and phone numbers you add
- Medical Card details you choose to enter (blood group, allergies, etc.)
- Your PIN, language and app settings
This data is saved only on your device. We cannot see it. It is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
3. Location
The App uses your phone's location ONLY when you press SOS, use Silent SOS, when the Safe Timer ends, or when you share location in Family Chat. Your location is sent by SMS or Bluetooth directly to the contacts you chose. It is never sent to us or to any server. The App does not track your location in the background.
4. SMS
The App sends SMS only to the emergency contacts you added, and only when you trigger an alert (SOS, Silent SOS or Safe Timer). The App does not read your SMS messages. Normal SMS charges from your mobile operator may apply.
5. Phone state
Used only to choose a working SIM card for sending emergency SMS on dual-SIM phones. We do not collect your phone number or SIM details.
6. Bluetooth / Nearby devices (Family Chat)
Family Chat connects directly phone-to-phone with people using the same Family Code, using Google Nearby Connections. Messages go directly between devices and are not stored on any server.
7. Camera
The camera permission is used ONLY to turn on the flashlight (torch) for the SOS light signal. The App does not take photos or videos.
8. Alarms
Exact alarm permission is used so the Safe Timer can send your alert on time, even if the App is closed.
9. Third-party services
The App uses Google Play Services (Nearby Connections) for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi device discovery. Google's privacy policy applies to that service: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The App has no ads and no analytics.
10. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. A parent or guardian may set it up for a family member.
11. Your choices
You can deny or revoke any permission in your phone's Settings. Some features (for example, automatic SMS) will not work without the related permission. You can delete all data by uninstalling the App.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
